Conference Venue
EURO 2025 will be held at the University of Leeds.

Conference activities will take place in multiple buildings across the campus.
Getting to the University of Leeds
- Travelling by Air
The City of Leeds is served by two major airports: Leeds Bradford (LBA) and Manchester (MAN). Regular flights are available from a large number of European and International cities. Leeds Bradford airport is approximately 8 miles from the University and taxis cost in the region of £20. Manchester airport is 59 miles from the University and has excellent train and motorway links to Leeds. Although Leeds and Manchester are the most convenient airports, there are trains from London Kings Cross to Leeds.
- Travelling by Train
Leeds station connects us with all major UK cities and has a fast and efficient London service. The principal station that runs trains to Leeds is London Kings Cross (2 hours 15 minutes). For train information and timetables visit National Rail Enquiries. From the station you may wish to either take a taxi to the University or walk.
- Travelling by Taxi
Taxis from Leeds Bradford Airport cost from £20 – £25. Taxis from Leeds Train Station cost £5 – £7. When travelling in Leeds please ensure you take licensed taxis. Uber Taxis are also licensed and operate in the city. Please ask to be dropped off at the Parkinson Building on Woodhouse Lane.
- Travelling on Foot
The walk from Leeds Train Station to the University takes approximately 25 minutes. Please note, the walking route is uphill and may be difficult if you are travelling with luggage.
- Car Parking
Car parking is not available on the University of Leeds campus. The nearest available public car park is the Woodhouse Lane car park.
Travel Insurance
It is highly recommended that conference delegates arrange personal travel and health insurance. Neither the conference organisers or conference secretariat assume any responsibility whatsoever for nonrefundable payments in event of cancellation prior to arrival, damage or injury to persons or property during the conference.
Getting Around Leeds
The University of Leeds campus is situated next to Leeds City Centre. Most local hotels will be within walking distance of the conference venue.
There are a number of bus services that stop outside the University campus, these include the buses: 1, 1B, 5, 6, 26, 28, 29A, 56 and 97. The 5 bus is particularly useful as it departs and drops off near the Conference Auditorium and the Edge, the venue for the conference plenaries. The University of Leeds campus also hosts e-bike docking stations as part of the Leeds City Bikes scheme. This allows short term hire of electric bikes via an app, with the option to pay by the minute or purchase bundles of minutes at a discounted price. Visa and Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
Even if you have travelled to the UK recently, all attendees are recommended to check if a visa is needed to enter the UK. Please see this online form.
Attendees are also reminded that in some cases visas may be required if you are transiting through a particular country. Please check your flight schedule carefully and consult the relevant governmental website for visa information.
In some cases, it may be possible to travel to the UK with an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). Please see the website GOV.UK website for more information including the proposed timeline for implementation.
Campus and Local Amenities
- Places to Eat and Drink
The Refectory
Located on the University precinct next to the Student Union, The Refectory is the venue for conference coffee breaks and lunches.
Leeds University Student Union (LUU)
The Leeds University Union has a Co-op (food/general store), several takeaway options and bars that also serve food.
On Woodhouse Lane near the main entrance to the University is also a Tesco Express (food/general store). There is another Tesco Express off the University campus on Calverley Street.
Coffee Shops
Coffee will be available during the conference however should you want a speciality coffee the University of Leeds has several coffee shops on campus. During the conference these cafes are open 08:30 – 15:30. A list is available on the Great Food at Leeds website.
There are also a number of coffee shops opposite the main entrance to the University on Woodhouse Lane.
- Prayer and Quiet Spaces
The University of Leeds has a number of dedicated prayer spaces that will available to conference delegates. Further information will be provided in advance of the conference.
Quiet spaces will be available in most conference buildings and marked on the conference map.
- The Edge Gym
Conference delegates will be able to make use of The Edge Gym during their time at conference. Instructions for accessing The Edge facilities will be provided nearer the conference.
